Definitely not my day today...
even though it is new year's eve
everyone else is probably partying away

at least three people i know are celebrating their birthdays today

anw, it's been enjoyable taking ballet classes with you
having to go through the rigour of our grades and major exams.
eye-opening to see the difference between people with different levels of maturity.

was the completion of our Grades exams.
my ballet mates.
ok so fine, i know i don't look like anything near ballerina now...
anyway, grade8'o8 is a fab class!
although we aren't as strong as our seniors,
and our Legends like amelia, seehang(ms tan shi han), kelly etc,
we did our best!
and so far, i think our class wins most bonded grade.
don't you agree? :D
sad to see the class separate..
but yeah i guess all good things come to an end :(

wow..
ok, so.. christmas eve = kinda more than what i expected..
the day started off as usual.
i supposedly received some msg that wasn't meant for me.
it's ok such things happen.
in the evening, we went over to Aunty Dora's place.
we go there every year for christmas.
meh, Uncle Patrick offered the maids some coke+alcohol mix
and i didn't get any :(
anyway, met this lady by the name of Yvonne there.
she's in her thirties if im not wrong.
but hey she looks really young and fit.
very tanned.
brainy.
she has three different degrees!
and she just came back from australia.
she likes my hair,
i think she's cool.
oh yes, she let me take a sip from her bottle of Hoegaarden's.
so far it's a beer that i actually like.
hahaha.
no lah nat, what crush on old lady hahaha rubbish only.
mm spent good family bonding time at Aunt's.
then when i reached my doorstep,
another unexpected situation.

life has been too fast and too slow.
basically A2 class today was ....
i didn't even do a proper class.
abs was the pro.
but she couldn't breathe towards end of class :(
betris was saying we were the "calafare" in today's class..
quite true. hahaha.
but itsh ok.
it's not everyday you have abigail lynn oliveiro, the pro who won so many championships in competitions in australia, in OUR class.
did i mention abs have super sensitive skin?
i drew my name on her arm.

kinda half-supper cuz all i did was steal betris' minestrone soup :P
so, i took my own sweet time to go home again..

sister called me when i was at bedok inter. to give me a short lecture again.
this time round, i managed to keep my cool.
spoke with mommy when i got home (late).
mommy seems pretty sad,
so i didn't really argue with her.
i'll listen to mom because she is my mother after all,
whereas an elder sister will always be a sister,
and she can never replace my mom.
guess i'll have to get up early tmr to go for morning walk with mom.
that's a good thing though.

alisha has been off computer for a while.
christmas party on friday night was so-so..
camz eileen eunice sam and i went.
then there were other people there, invited guests and such..
a lot of china people,
but hey they're all like smart asses
either in JC or universities already.
vincent (one of the hosts who is a teacher at HCI) was shocked when i introduced myself,
[we had to do self-introductions]
because he thought i was older than my actual age :/
camz parents were nice. they sent me home

ok so i got home and couldn't sleep until 3+..
next morning, got up and went to MEET ABIGAIL!

just got back not long ago from a wake.
1st aunt's husband passed away..
anw, alisha's not v close to him.
the main reason was because mum, sis and kids were going,
so i might as well go.
saw my relatives.. aunts, uncles, cousins.
best part, today = first time relatives saw alisha with mohawk.
aunty dora couldn't recognise me.
uncle steven too.
and a lot of others.
aunty dora made a funny comment,
"alisha! i couldn't recognise you! i thought you were allen! and then i was wondering, 'who is this gentleman'..."

the performance went good.

this is a very very very very wordy post.
had a good talk with ms lee today..
"carry on like this and you'll turn butch"
which is rather true, come to think of it.
hahahaha no, alisha ain't butch.
but alisha ain't femme too.
hence, the term androgyne.
anw, ms lee doesn't want me to stop ballet.
and she wants my hair to grow back..
but, helloooo i might keep my mohawk for a while...
how to let my hair grow back?
ok what i really like about ms lee,
is that she allows us to have freedom of choice.
she'll do her best to throw information at us,
to educate us to the best of her ability,
but at the end of the day, we are the ones who make the decisions.
which is good, alisha likes.
unlike my sister who only knows how to control me.
oh yeah today wong.jiamin charms and i went crazy over talking from 3rd person p.o.v
which means we speak not using the terms "I", "ME", "MY" etc.
instead of going "I left my bag outside the studio"
charmaine says "Charmaine left charmaine's bag outside the studio!"
and i reply "oh yah, alisha wants to leave bag outside the studio too!"
or jiamin answers "Jiamin hold means Jiamin drink, you know?"

ms lee seems so stressed nowadays.
before i left, eunice and i went to say bye to ms lee
(she was talking to brandon about some concert pictures thingo)
then ms lee came and gave me a hug, woah honestly, i was caught by surprise.
instead of getting angry/disappointed/pissed off, she gave me a hug.
alisha = so touched.
so alisha told ms lee not to stress..
then ms lee said "stressed? i'm stressed by you ah.. be a good girl ok?"
"i will i will :) "
oh yeah that's when ms lee shared her story of her secondary school friend who turned butch and just couldn't snap out of it, even until today (she's already in her early forties, btw)
and yes, ms lee also told alisha to get back to ballet class.
"you cannot stop. i want you to come back.
you can go do your hiphop, your breakdance, whatever.
but your ballet training and knowledge, it doesn't stop like that"
oh yeah. just when i happily plan to go for class,
sudden rehearsal crop up.
there goes another class by ryan that alisha cannot attend.

eh, after this sat, should be more free.
HAHA i haven't blogged about some parent who complained about
"a girl who dressed like a boy" right.
basically, some parent called up crestar to complain that
there is a girl who dressed like a boy (during sunday's combined rehearsal)
and told her kid that she is a boy
and (the parent) doesn't like her kid playing with a guy.
and this "girl dress like boy" is most probably me.
RAWR! damn long story but anyway i didn't dress like a boy and i didn't tell any kid i was a boy (except for francine but she knows im joking, and her parents know me and ms lee so they wont complain. the complain didn't come from marine parade students btw)
that was the reason why ms lee wanted to talk to me la.. bout the impression i give other ppl and all.
haha ok at least ms lee understands.
Moral of story: Be careful of what you say to children.
& Be aware of what impression you give other people, especially when you are a senior,
because kids&juniors tend to follow you unknowingly, and pick up your language.. so if you always go SHIT SHIT! they will learn from you and go SHIT SHIT SHITTT!!
while ms lee was talking to us before rehearsal started,
said she and Uncle Jeff wanna work with youths,
more specifically, problematic youths,
like those with IDENTITY CRISIS,
then she LOOKED at ME thanks.
then the nice dancers started laughing.

today, went to oschool to register.
gin was at the counter...
she's very nice :)
i think almost everyone there is nice, in fact.

then when i mentioned more than 1 course..
gin was saying sth about "so many?"
hmmm, yeah maybe it's not normal for someone to reg. for so many course classes a week right.. but in my heart i was thinking about everyday ballet classes, last year around this time.
full stretching etc.

ms lee told us about some person who is very nice to work with.
this person (i forgot his name) has no temper at all.
who has no angry comments and such.
she said he is god-sent to her, to teach her to be a more tolerant person.
and it's really nice to work with a leader like that.
at the end of the show, it just makes you feel so good.
it's great how he keeps his cool throughout,
having so many to deal with, as a manager of the show or something like that.
another reason why i love ms lee?
she ain't just a typical ballet teacher,
you don't simply walk into the studio, learn ballet, and walk out.
she's a teacher of moral values and things like that.
i owe most of my courtesy, mannerisms, and such,
to her.
of course, people aren't perfect so yeah there were times i was thrown out of class
due to misunderstandings,
she was pissed at me, don't wanna talk to me,
blah blah blah, shan't elaborate.
conclusion, all going through grade6 = problematic grade.
i want a snowflake and a christmas tree?

ok today i stayed home after waking up early to go get vegetarian breakfast.
brought sister's pair of shoes to the bedok inter. cobbler.
i think today is my meet-nice-people day.
hmm ok firstly,
i got up early [7-ish?] (btw that's VERY early because usually i get up around 12+++.)
went to the market to get vege. food.
mom instructed, so i bought a share for dad too.
when i took the lift down, i saw my neighbour. he's like this grandfather dude and i always see him around so i greeted him "Uncle". then woah he started talking to me like asking me where i was going and stuff.
at the vege. stall, the lady boss was nice to me lah she spoke to me with a smile. hmmm, maybe because i had nice aura around me today? :)
then at the bus stop while waiting for bus to bedok inter, this old lady came up to me and asked if 60 goes to tampines, and i told her nono, it goes to bedok. then she thanked me with real gratitude. maybe that's why i find some elderly really nice to talk to (at times).
THEN at bedok inter while i got sister's shoes to mr old cobbler,
he was so nice to me! the whole convo was in chink btw.. so my chink still can pass la right ;)
"Uncle.. repair this please?"
"the back is it? ok ok. drink tea already?"
"uhm no, i'm kinda in a rush..."
"oh no problem! i do yours for you first, very fast"
then he threw the shoe he was working on to the side and started working on my sister's pair.
soooo nice. and within minutes, he was done.
i tell you his workmanship is (Y) *thumbs up*
ok, i should have this kinda attitude and nice aura ard me everyday.
basically i spent my afternoon on sidereel.com

Gah, i'm starting to peel from sentosa's outing which is about a week ago.
